28 Apr Viason Celebrates 27 Years of Mobile Ultrasound Service in Charlotte
This spring, the Viason team gathered to mark a major milestone — 27 years of bringing diagnostic ultrasound directly to physician practices across the Carolinas.
What started in 1998 as a single mobile unit has grown into the region’s largest mobile diagnostic ultrasound provider. Team members past and present joined founder Sergio Khomyak to reflect on nearly three decades of growth, the relationships built with referring physicians, and the thousands of patients served closer to home.
The evening included recognition for long-tenured sonographers, a slideshow of milestones over the years, and toasts to the colleagues, families, and physician partners who have made it possible. Several physicians who have referred to Viason since the early years joined the celebration and shared stories of how on-site imaging has changed the way they practice.
From the first single-unit operation to today’s fleet serving the greater Charlotte metro, the throughline has stayed the same: bring high-quality, hospital-grade ultrasound to the patient, instead of asking the patient to travel for it. As Sergio put it during the toast, “Every exam we perform is somebody’s mother, father, neighbor, or friend — and that’s never changed.”
